RESEARCH PROMOTION

Since 1919, ASHRAE has supported research to advance building science. ASHRAE Research impacts the construction and design industries by improving HVAC technologies, their applications, and developing standards and guidelines to serve as the basis for testing and design practices around the world. Strategic Research Plans are established to provide a framework for current research projects; ASHRAE is currently funding projects for a Sustainable Future.

Research funding is accumulated through ASHRAE local chapters. Each year, the Rochester Chapter of ASHRAE sets a new Research Promotion goal to support ASHRAE Research programs.
